How about getting away overnight or for a day or two? A short drive from Whitehorse, Haines Junction is a gem in the Kluane region along the Alaska Highway. Stay for a night or a week at Wanderer’s Inn Hostel. Centrally located within walking distance of all town facilities and attractions, with unbeatable mountain views, Wanderer’s Inn provides budget dorm-style accommodations for 14 guests with access to a common area, kitchen and bathroom facilities. Tent pads with full access to the facilities are also available for travelers looking to camp. Our mission is to offer simple yet comfortable accommodations and an opportunity to explore the wonderful area of Kluane National Park and all that the Haines Junction area has to offer. Whether you stay for a night or a week, we know that you’ll want to come back!
A must on your list of places to explore is the Da Kų Culture Centre. It is an innovative cultural facility Da Kų (Our House) celebrates the culture and traditions of the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations (CAFN) Dän (people). The centre is a teaching, curatorial and interpretive facility, providing programming directed to our Citizens as well as the general public. Da Kų honours our language and stories, our strong connection to the land, and our living culture. Da Kų also connects the Champagne and Aishihik First Nations Dän to the wider community of Dan kéyi, our southern Yukon and northwestern British Columbia homeland. These links are illustrated by the other agencies housed in our facility – Parks Canada’s Kluane National Park Visitor Centre, with its feature exhibits, and Yukon Government’s Visitor Information Centre, which showcases pieces from the Yukon Permanent Art Collection. No admission is charged for visiting Da Kų. We recommend a couple hours be allowed for visiting the centre.
Then head for the Haines Junction Airport for your flight seeing tour over Kluane National Park. The park boasts the largest non polar icefields in the world! Which means on a hot summer day your will look out your window at an amazing site – ice everywhere! Fly into the icefields of Kluane National Park where you can see the Kaskawulsh, Donjek, Stella and Steel Glacier, Amplitheatre Mountain, Mount Queen Mary, Mount Logan (Canada’s highest Peak) – 17 of Canada’s highest mountain are located in Kluane National Park. We have packages from 1 – 2 hours available. We can take small groups and leave on your schedule.

Prices are based on a minimum of 2 passengers for the Glacier tours.
